Tutor and Outdoor Explorer Extraordinaire
Michelle was born and raised in Southwest Georgia. She worked at a local charter school for 3 years as a Special Education Paraprofessional. She loved working closely with SPED students and making sure their daily needs were met while pushing them to become bigger and better each day. Her passion for teaching was handed down to her from her mother, who taught elementary grades for 20+ years. Michelle loves nature, yoga, creating all forms of art, and learning new things. She and her husband Will have two sons. You won’t find anyone as kind and creative as Ms. Michelle! We are incredibly thankful that she is our every day tutor, and a part of our farm family.
BOA has been a dream of Amber’s for many years. After her son, Jack, was diagnosed with ASD in 2018, she worried that he would not receive the attention he needed in a traditional school setting. Although he attended a wonderful charter school for several years, she knew he would thrive in an outdoor learning environment, specifically on their family farm. Creating this program for her son, as well as her daughter when she’s old enough to attend, is the highlight of her life. Of all the things she has done and seen in her 40 years, this is what means the most to her. She looks forward to watching the program grow and more families joining us for this exciting adventure!
