At Bluffton Outdoor Academy, we believe that nature is the greatest classroom, but there is certainly a place for indoor educational experiences.

We have chosen the following curriculum based on experience and research. If this specific style does not match your child's learning style, we will explore other options.

• Grammar - Easy Grammar

• Geography - Our 50 States, Atlas Workbook

• Reading - Reading Connection

Students will participate in hands-on activities including, but not limited to:

• Gardening

• Mechanics

• Cooking

• Crafting

• Animal husbandry

The beauty of our program is that we are able to adjust our schedule as needed based on the weather, the participants wants and needs, and their learning pace.

Here's a sample of what a day looks like at BOA:

• 8:45 - 9:05 Arrive and settle in

• 9:05 - 9:30 Morning routine (may include stretching, yoga, Pledge of Allegiance, and prayer)

• 9:30 - 9:50 Core subject studies

• 9:50 - 10:00 Brain break (move, stretch, walk outside)

• 10:00 - 10:30 Core subject studies

• 10:30 - 11:15 Outdoor activity

• 11:15 - 12:00 Core subject studies

• 12:00 - 12:45 Lunch

• 12:45 - 1:15 Group discussion and set up for next activity

• 1:15 - 2:30 Outdoor activity

• 2:30 - 2:45 Daily review

• 2:45 - 3:00 Pick up
