Our program is currently designed for ages 3-12. We love the one-room schoolhouse concept and believe that children of all ages learning together is a lost tradition that we want to revisit. This classroom style will present challenges along the way, but we are confident that the older students helping teach the younger ones will be beneficial for all. Each grade/age group will have their own responsibilities and tasks that are age appropriate and will help boost their self confidence and independence.
While we are a nature-based learning program, we understand there is also work to be done inside each day. We love our tiny house, but it is - tiny. The indoor space limits us on the number of students we can accept each year. We would love to accept every family that applies, but for now we must read through the applications and choose which students are the best fit for our program. Children will be accepted based on:
Date the application was received
Openings available in the child's age group
*Registration priority is given to current BOA siblings and families.
Parents must complete a tour of the tiny house and farm with a BOA representative before completing registration to determine if this program is a good fit for their children and family.
All children must be potty trained prior to acceptance into the program.
Children who turn 3 years old by August 1st are generally ready for this program, but please consider your child’s ability to communicate their needs, safety awareness and responsiveness to their name being called prior to registration.
